The Oro Valley Marketplace is the first Arizona retail destination integrated with a restored riparian habitat and boasts a trail system feeding into the revered Catalina Mountains. Opened in 2008, the Marketplace features 800,000 square feet of retail, entertainment and dining destinations. Major tenants include Walmart, Dick's Sporting Goods and Century Theatres.

SAACA's Festival of the Arts also should not only offer up a visual feast but a feast for your taste buds as well. Food vendors will serve festival-goers everything from fresh-fruit smoothies, pitas, fry bread, Italian sausage, Philly cheese steaks, nachos, hot dogs, ice cream, kettle corn and roasted nuts, shaved ice and lemonade.

The event will feature a jumping castle play area for the children as well as various free children's arts-and-crafts activities, including face-painting and jewelry design.

More importantly, especially to the kids, is the fact that Santa Claus himself will make an appearance at the Festival of the arts (11 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days). A photographer will be on hand to capture those special moments between Santa and the kids.

Area students will be on site to gift-wrap your art purchases. All gift-wrapping proceeds from the two-day festival will go to help support the student's school activities and various community programs.
